Born 2 years apart, they wear the same size and couldn't be cuter! They are my muses when it comes to little girls sewing. I first saw the fabric in an issue of Sew Beautiful and was thrilled when I found it in Fabric Depot in Portland. The pattern is by Oliver + S. I read an interview by the designer of these patterns who said that children should not wear large prints because it overwhelms them. She may have a point, but they are so cute! And an adult would look absurd in a dress like this so the kiddos have it!

One girl's dress is accented in the biggest ric-rac you ever saw and the tiniest ric-rac. The other girl has red piping on hers and both girls have buttons covered in tiny red and white polka dot fabric.

I made hair clips for one of these girls using yoyo's from the dot fabric and a fabric covered button in the center. I haven' taken pictures of them but trust me! They are so cute!

These cousins have a little baby girl cousin and I bought extra fabric to make her a dress from this also. Hasn't happened yet but it will be very cute when I do!
