Craft Fair Rewind

My memory isn't always what it used to be. So if I already showed these craft fair pictures just nod and smile as the crazy old lady repeats herself.

The above sign you see, I embroidered about 3 years ago when the HI808 Etsy Street Team had a booth at Aloha Stadium. Oh, it was a bust or a wash or FAIL! as the teenagers say. But so much fun. We were discussing signs in our planning of it and I said, Oh I probably should have one. One of my Etsy friends said "You could sew one." Well duh! How silly. So I did and it kind of matches my Etsy Shop banner and hangtags and old cards. But my new labels and new business cards are different and I have veered away from "Thoughtfully created for those you love" although nothing has changed and I still thoughtfully create things for those you love. But I have abridged it to "Handsewn Happiness" because it makes me happy and I strive to make you happy. And "you" could be a paying customer who I never see online or someone I meet at a craft fair or creating something special for an acquaintance or friend. It makes me happy to know what I do is making them happy. It's a co-dependent kind of business. (no offense intended. We could sit down and talk about this alot!) But it truly brings me joy to see the looks on people's faces or the sweet emails or kind Etsy feedback.
Now for what I really wanted to show you and I am not sure if I showed this before but here are a couple aprons that sold at the craft fair. This blue one below was kind of sad to see go because I was making it with myself in mind. I especially love the birds and the checked ribbon on the waistband. A very excited lady bought this.

The apron below was made from Heather Bailey fabric and it was bright and fun. The big selling feature? Red heart buttons sewn to where the ties start. It just made a joyful apron even happier, and I think I may have to start adding buttons to more aprons.
