I started selling on Etsy in May and joined the EtsyKids Street team. I "met" Jodi of Happy House Quilts and she invited me to join EtsyMom Street Team.
I haven't been very active lately in either one, kind of like I haven;t been doing my blog.
I have wanted to feature an Etsy Seller for awhile and Jodi was actually the one who gave me the idea! So here she is!
(I think I also feel a connection because she has 3 girls like me!)
Who are you?
My name is Jodi and I am a Master’s Level Art Therapist, trained at Eastern Virginia Medical School. I am also a wife and mother to 3 wonderful daughters. I also design/create and run the business at Happy House Quilts.

Do you create for children or adults, women or men?
I craft mostly for me and my children but I have been stopped so many times by friends, family, strangers that I now share my craftiness. I like crafting items that I feel I need and then I see if others might need them too.
What do you like about Etsy?
I love the community, the inspiration, the ease of having my own shop without taking the plunge into a full website.
What do you like about creating?
I’m an Art Therapist…so I love the process… the evolution that happens to supplies and how the time changes me and ultimately the end product. I hate to part with all the items they are a part of me…the hardest so far was a dragonfly barrette…Oh I loved that so much!
What do you love about your business?
I have worked for others and sold for others…and this is me…I make and sell for me. I don’t answer to anyone else but my husband and my kids!
What is your favorite product right now?
I would have to say the Threadibilities Craft Kits™. I love being able to combine my Art Therapy background with my Etsy shop!
What makes you unique at Etsy?
I think I have a unique vision to adorning hair and home. I love to help the environment but also I love to help others. I love coming together as a community to support others! I think my Art Therapy background is unique too, as it helps me develop the kits to suit the age group and maximize the time spent with family…because, let’s face it…time is fleeting!
What makes you unique as a woman?
I think experiences in middle school led me to a place where I hate to exclude others. I love to include and bring people together. I value RESPECT always and try to instill this with my children…respecting themselves, their sisters, their parents, their home and most of all God and all the gifts he has blessed them and me with.
What do you love about Kids?
I love their approach to tasks. They are just unselfconscious and simply express themselves and create from within! I learn from them daily!
